Welcome to the TGO Nature Center

Welcome to the TGO Nature Center

The Nature Center at the Great Outdoors, Inc., also known as the TGO Nature Center, is a Florida not for profit corporation.   We are located inside the gated community of The Great Outdoors RV and Golf Resort (TGO) in Titusville, FL.  Our purpose is “To promote the awareness, appreciation and conservation of nature’s plants, animals, birds, fish and reptiles”.  To learn more about us, visit our About Us page.

Our T.G. Carlson Nature Center building houses our museum, library, meeting room and a kitchen.  The building also has a screened in porch where you can relax, read a book or have a picnic lunch bug-free.  The building is open to TGO residents, renters and their guests seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  Our building went from an old camp site to a new modern concrete building.  See how we did it on our History pages.

We have an “Education Series” highlighting some of the plants and wildlife you may see here at TGO and in Central Florida.  We will be adding more articles about plants, birds, reptiles, mammals and fish.  We also provide articles on other nature related topics of interest.  Click on the “Education” menu bar at the top of the page to access our educational materials.

Do you have a question, comment or suggestion regarding the TGO Nature Center or the website?  Contact us year round by using the e-mail links on the right sidebar under “Contact Us”.
