We hope the photos in this album will help you to identify this beautiful bird.  The male painted bunting is a stunning bird with its brightly multi-colored feathers.  The female painted bunting has a more muted greenish coloration as can be seen in the photos below.  Click on any photo to get a closer look.

Nikki Duthil attracts painted buntings to the beautiful feeder and bird bath in her yard.  Notice in the top photo how the bee has caught the attention of the male painted bunting.
