Welcome to the TGO Nature Center Egyptian Goose Photo Album. According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the Egyptian Goose is an exotic goose native to South Africa and Syria.  It is thought that these geese rarely breed successfully.  Sightings in Florida may represent escapees.

Carol Votto spotted the Egyptian Goose pictured below on the 13th hole on January 1, 2017. What a way to start the New Year!

Mikki Dodge sent the photo below with the following note:  “We saw two Egyptian geese on the golf course on April 21.  I have never seen them before.”  What a rare sighting!
