Please Watch Out For Wildlife

Please Watch Out For Our Wildlife While Driving

On Sunday, July 6, 2014 at around 8:00 p.m., Sandy Juba received a phone call about an injured juvenile osprey.   The bird may have been hit by a car.  Sandy immediately went to where the bird was on Plantation Drive and captured it.  Unfortunately, the bird’s injuries were too severe and it died later that night.

On Monday, I saw a small turtle which had been run over on Plantation between Addison Canal and the guard gate.  We currently have many young animals and birds at TGO.  As a friendly reminder, please adhere to our speed limit and watch for wildlife who may wander onto our roads. Thank You!
